BabyCarrots.com is an epically huge website dedicated to promoting the extreme-ness of the baby carrot. I was lead motion designer, 3d artist, and Flash animator for this project. My role allowed me to design and craft the intro for the website, as well many animations within the site. I assisted our dev team with integrating the animations into the Flash environment.
Puddle Interactive Installation
PRODUCED AT...
Rochester Institute of Technology
As a capstone project for our studies at RIT, our team of six designers and developers designed and built an interactive wishing pool by way of an infrared touch surface and an interface called Puddle. Puddle is a repository for wishes, where users submit a wish to an online wishing well. The wishes can be viewed later by interacting with the creatures inhabiting our table environment.

CP+B designed and executed an interactive installation at the headquarters of MDC Partners utilizing a Microsoft Surface table and an HDTV. My role was to create and animate ambient animated loops for the background of the interface. The animation was created using animated displacement maps in Cinema 4D, with post effects in After Effects.

Laura Frastaci
Rochester Institute of Technology
Using graphical information about climate change as inspiration, I created a short animation about the impact of climate change on the environment. Real statistics are represented by visuals throughout the piece. Pieces of the animation were done frame-by-frame in Photoshop timeline, and in Cinema 4D and After Effects. Created for the course Digital Persuasion Design.

Using cloth dynamics in Cinema 4D, we animated electronic products "shedding" off their old skins in a series of animations created for rich media Flash banners. My responsibilities included creating the cloth simulations, texturing, and animating 3d models, as well prototyping the effect and assisting in compositing in After Effects.

Our team took on the challenge of creating and trafficking a :30 web interstitial, fully in 3d, in the time span of 7 days. I worked with the creative team to design the animation, was in charge of creating and rendering the scene, and helped composite the final effects in After Effects.
Daruma and the Birth of Tea
ANIMATION.....
PRODUCED AT...
Laura Frastaci
Rochester Institute of Technology
A short animation that tells the legend of Daruma and the birth of tea leaves. The action in the piece is slow and deliberate, it was an experiment in using pacing as a device for storytelling. I used watercolor illustrations and textures, layered with 3d in After Effects, to create the environment and character. Created as a graduation project for the course Experimental New Media.

A title sequence created for a course on Dynamic Typography combining my love for painting, illustration, animation, and the story of the Little Prince. My goal was to convey the whimsical, if at times melancholy, nature of the book through these titles. I worked with my friend to develop the music for the sequence.
Paint Studies
PERSONAL PROJECT...

Explorations in watercolor. Here, I focus on simple color schemes and delicate linework. Watercolor is a fast-changing medium, and beautiful patterns and peculiarities appear when you let the paint and water do its thing while offering a bit of creative input to influence movement and line.
